Malbec, Jurançon Noir, Merlot, and Valdiguié. Red apple, plum, cherry, and a bit of earth. Light and bright red from Cahors; not the usual deep and tannic version from this region. Rustic finish with low volume tannins. Because of the addition or the amount of Jurançon Noir used in this wine, Fabien cannot use the Cahors appellation and must use Vin de France, which, as the label shows, he wan’t that happy about.
