Hermanos Peciña 2016 Rioja Crianza Tinto

95% Tempranillo with a smidgeon of Graciano and Garnacha. Blackberries, cherry-vanilla, kirsch, tobacco, earth, and spice box. This Crianza level Rioja nearly resembles a Reserva wine with it's focus and concentration. The yin yang, sweet sour aspect of American oak is apparent but in no way dominates the seductive fruit. Made from parcels in high altitudes this beauty drinks well now and will continue to do so for years.
