Sanguineto 2019 Vino Nobile di Montepulciano

100% Sangiovese. Dark fruit aromas of baked cherries and dried plums; dusty herb aromas of rosemary and thyme; licorice; a whiff of violet, and an earthy underbrush and meaty note make this Tuscan red a complex and compelling dinner companion. Full-bodied with tannins on the back end that say "I'm here for the long haul!" BUT, give it some air, let it sit in the glass, pour it into a decanter and it softens into a more mellow state that still impresses the palate with its presence. Pretty serious stuff. Drink now or wait 3 or more years if you can. Organic.
