Gahier, Michel 2023 Arbois Trousseau “Les Bérangers” 1.5L (Magnum)

100% Trousseau. Red currants, black raspberries, blood orange, turned earth, and mineral notes. These are from vines planted in the 1940’s and this is consistently one of the star wines in Michel’s bottlings and it is only sold in magnums. The wine’s lofty aromas follow through on the palate. The flavors are deep and the texture tightly grained with great depth and concentration. Another “fabulous and delicious” wine. Best to hold a few years, but decanting in advance will open this up nicely. Organic.
