Explorers' Seasonal Value Pack: Autumn Pickings - Crushes to Fall Hard For
Great Wines Don't Have to be Expensive!
The Fall Seasonal Value Pack
As days get shorter and nights get cooler, wine choices start to lean towards rounder styles. There is still plenty of time for outdoor dining and fire-pit gatherings, and, as we live in New England, we should always expect a burst of summer to take us by surprise even in November. With this in mind we need wine selections to be versatile and pair with food menus that straddle the changing season. This year’s Fall Explorers’ Pack is up to the challenge and is equally divided between whites and reds. Often we explore wines that are worlds apart and that might take people out of their comfort zones. This pack is more about subtle differences and general appeal.
This pack contains three white wines: a medium-bodied VdF blanc from a stellar Chateauneuf-du-Pape producer in the Rhone; a taut and fresh Verdicchio from the Marche in Italy; and a medium-plus-bodied Pinot Gris from the Willamette Valley.
There are also three red wines: a juicy, friendly Barbera blend from Piedmont; a VdF rouge from the same Chateauneuf-du-Pape producer as the blanc; and a hearty Garnacha blend from Montsant in Spain.
While some folks have had these grapes or wines from these places before, others have not, or maybe these particular bottles are new to you. This is the point of the Explorers' Packs: to try something you haven't had before - whether it is a wine you are completely unfamiliar with or whether the wine is a from a familiar grape or place but perhaps from an unfamiliar wine-maker; these packs aim to offer something different.
This Explorers' Pack is discounted just shy of 15% off regular prices. No further discounts apply.
