Guiberteau 2018 Saumur Blanc “Breze”

100% Chenin Blanc. From two plots in Brézé that were planted in 1933 and 1952. The grapes are whole-cluster pressed and the fermentation initiates with ambient yeasts. There is no malolactic fermentation. The wine is then aged on the lees for 15-18 months in new and used barrels. The wine is filtered and allowed to age in bottle for a minimum of 6 months. Very limited. Certified in 2007, but converted to organic in 2000.
