Vajra, G.D. 2017 Langhe Freisa “Kyè”

100% Freisa. Red and black berries, prune, spice and leather. This is a full-bodied, full-throttle, spicy red from a mostly unheard of grape (Freisa) that may be a parent of Nebbiolo. The wine has an almost sweet and sour yin and yang tension and the notable tannins are sure to engage a Barolo lover looking for more rusticity. Organic.
