Guiberteau 2018 Saumur Rouge "Les Arboises"

100% Cabernet Franc. Red currants, cranberry, fresh raspberries, citrus, tomato leaf, savory, and earth. Les Arboises is a Monopole on the hill of Brézé that was planted in 1957. The grapes are 100% de-stemmed and the fermentation initiates with ambient yeasts. The fermentation lasts for 2-4 weeks in concrete tanks. The wine is then aged in 80% new and 20% used barrels. The wine is filtered and allowed to age in bottle for a few months before release. Very limited. Certified in 2007, but converted to organic in 2000.
