Florèz Wines 2022 Merlot Santa Cruz Mountains “Picard”

100% Merlot. Plum, blueberries, cherries, spice and a hint of balsamic. Touch of VA on the nose which raises the aromatics and gives the wine a zippy character. Light-bodied, especially for Merlot and is quite quaffable. The wine spends about 10 months in neutral French oak that won’t intrude on the fruit. Medium long finish. Organic.
