Tempier 2022 Bandol Rouge “La Tourtine”

80% Mourvèdre, 10% Grenache, 10% Cinsault. Dark plum, macerated cherries, crushed herbs, hint of vanilla, and turned, damp earth. Ripe tannins give excellent structure and penetrating mouth-feel. This basic Bandol is classic and will age quite well for a decade or more. This vineyard, La Tourtine, somehow manages to balance elegance and power most deftly and is a personal favorite for this reason. Organic.
