Borgo del Tiglio 2016 Collio Friulano

100% Friulano. Shy initial aromas of golden delicious apple, honeysuckle, orange peel, hazelnut, crushed almonds, with time or a decantation, become more pronounced and expansive. This is a full-bodied white that is fermented and aged in oak and the spice is evident on the nose and palate. While most Friulano is mass produced and pleasant but not particularly interesting, Nicola Manferrari crafts a truly memorable wine that deserves more attention.
