Shelburne 2020 Iapetus Substrata White

100% Louise Swenson. Yup a Vermont wine made from a hybrid grape named after a grape hybridizer's wife. I have to say this is a stretch, but I would not offer this wine if it didn't sing a song of some familiar melody. You might almost think you are in Spain sipping on an aged white Rioja. Pears, and quince for fruit, resin and jasmine flowers for complexity, and a bit of hazelnut. So interesting and unexpected.
